Robert Katon

Robert R. Katon, 47, of Glenshaw, died Friday, July 15, 2016. Born July 26, 1968 in Radford, VA he was the son of John Katon of Virginia and Patricia Rand Katon McCall of Oakmont. A resident of Pittsburgh for the past 25 years, he was Catholic by faith and was a sales engineer for Level III Communications. Robert enjoyed music, karaoke, spending time with friends, was an avid Pittsburgh sports fan and most of all he loved and adored his children. He also received an honorable discharge from the US Army Reserves.
He is survived by his wife Kristina Popovich Katon, his children Katheryn Katon and Vaughn Katon both at home; a brother & sister in law Bill & wife Nicole Katon of Crown Point, Indiana; two sisters & brother in law Kimberly Katon Proffer & husband John of Oakmont, Maggie Katon of Fairfax, VA; nieces and nephew Nichole Lang, Patrick Katon and Samantha Katon.
Visitation will be held Tuesday from 2-4 & 6-7:30 pm at the Parzynski Funeral Home & Cremations, Family Owned and Operated, 626 Broad Avenue, Belle Vernon 724-929-6183 followed by funeral services at 7:30 PM with the Rev. James Bump officiating. Members of St. Sebastian parish will pray the rosary for the departed soul of Robert Katon Tuesday at 3pm in the funeral home.
