Robert Andrew Rebish, 71, was called to his forever home by his Heavenly Father on Thursday, January 12, 2023. ‘Bobby’ was born May 26, 1951 in Connellsville, the second son of the late Martin and Dorothy V. Statzula Rebish. Bob was a graduate of Mary Fuller Frazier Memorial High School. He attended one term at Triangle Tech for drafting before beginning a job with Clairton US Steel. He became a Motor Inspector and before retiring with over 30 years of service, began a Preventive Maintenance Program there with Ron Roule, a fellow worker. Bob was an active member of Seven Dolors RC Church in Yukon where he served as a Eucharistic Minister, counter and served briefly on the Parish Council. He was a member of the Perry Sokols Club and the Sons of Italy of Perryopolis. He loved to hunt and golf and belonged to Holiday golf league that met weekly at Victory Hill. He and his wife of 50 years built their own home with Uncle Fritz Antonini as the contractor. He loved his home and one acre and worked constantly to improve it. He cared for his grape vines and tried his hand at wine making. His favorite thing to make was limoncello which he enjoyed and shared with family and friends. He loved to go on, what he sometimes called ‘business trips’, with his wife and friends to Atlantic City, Vegas, or meet his family at Cherokee, NC. For Bob, it was all about family and friends, who even at his worst, he wanted to see.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his youngest brother John Michael Rebish, brother in law Scott Cooley, grandparents Peter and Julia Statzula and father in law Henry W. Fields. He will be missed beyond measure by his wife, Henrietta and only son Eric. He also leaves behind siblings to carry on family traditions, Martin Rebish of Canton, OH, Linda Rebish (Lorraine) of Canonsburg, Ava Cooley of Taylors, SC, Vicki Muccioli (Nick) of Perryopolis, sister in law Holly Rebish of Easley, SC, mother in law Gia Fields of Perryopolis, godchildren, Julie Moreschi, Angela VanDorsten, Anthony Bressi, Hunter Cooley, Dawn Jura, nieces and nephews, Marty Rebish, Leah Eich (Evan), Jamie Muccioli, Vincenzo Muccioli, and Anthony Muccioli, as well as aunts, uncles, and cousins.
