Sandy Erdely

Sandy ‘Gaga’ Stephens Erdely, 66, of Star Junction, died Sunday, February 19, 2017 at her home with her loving family by her side.  Born February 10, 1951 in N. Charleroi, PA she was the daughter of the late Stewart W. Stephens and Margaret ‘Midge’ Morris Patterson of Belle Vernon.  A resident of Star Junction for the past 40 years, she was a devout Christian who was a lifelong member of the Star Junction Baptist church,  who went home to be with her dearly loved lord. She was a retired office manager from Magee Women's Health Care Associates, Pleasant Hills.  Sandy enjoyed sewing, bowling, playing cards and dominos, playing her lottery scratch off tickets and playing her PA lottery #310.  She was an undefeated master Halloween costume designer for her grandchildren. She was a very proud Gaga of her five grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband Roger  Erdely to whom she would have been married 49 years on February 20, 2017,  two sons & daughters in law Roger & Stacey Erdely of Perryopolis, Jason & Amy Erdely of Perryopolis; five grandchildren Annika Erdely, Kenadi Erdely, Nixen Erdely, Jonah Erdely, Emmett Erdely; sister & brother in law Linda & Ray Patterson of Belle Vernon; two brothers & sisters in law Stewart 'Sam' & Gina Stephens, David & Sandy Stephens of Star Junction and numerous nieces and nephews that she adored.

Visitation will be held Tuesday from 2-4 & 6-8 PM at the Parzynski Funeral Home & Cremations, Family Owned and Operated, 191 Liberty St., Perryopolis 724-736-2515 .  Funeral services will be held Wednesday at the Parzynski Funeral Home & Cremations at 10:00 AM with the Rev.  Don Bowser Pastor of Star Junction Baptist Church officiating.  Interment will take place in Mt. Washington Cemetery, Perryopolis.  The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of Fayette Home Care and Hospice.  The Family suggests memorial contributions be made in memory of Sandra J. Erdely to the ALS Association or the charity of your choice.
