Shirley (DeWitt) Etling

Shirley DeWitt Etling, 82, of Perryopolis, Perry Twp., passed away Tuesday, February 14, 2023 at LaFayette Manor, Uniontown.  Born June 6, 1940 in Connellsville, PA she was the daughter of the late Cecil and Bertha L. Rodeheaver DeWitt.  A resident of Perryopolis for the past 55 years, Mrs. Etling attended the former Full Gospel Church, Mt. Braddock.  Shirley was a homemaker, enjoyed singing, loved to watch game shows, and play bingo with her girlfriends at LaFayette Manor.

She is survived by children William Cecil & Sandy Etling of Perryopolis, Evajean & Kirk Sherry of Uniontown, Rebecca Sue Smith Koffler & husband Randy of Perryopolis, Kevin Ray & Jennifer Etling of Perryopolis, brother Robert D. DeWitt of Uniontown, 14 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren, and 11 great great grandchildren.  She is preceded in death by her husband Donald D. Etling, son Donald Etling Jr., two brothers Raymond & Roger DeWitt and three sisters Ruth Lawver, Ellen Bloom, and Evajean Goodwin.

Visitation will be held Saturday from 2-5:30 pm followed by funeral services at 5:30 PM with Sandy DeWitt officiating in the Parzynski Funeral Home & Cremations LLC, Family Owned and Operated, 191 Liberty St. Perryopolis, PA 724-736-2515.  Interment will take place in Sylvan Heights Cemetery.  The Family wishes to extend a special thank you to the staff at LaFayette Manor for giving their loving care to Mom.
