Sylvia Ann Knight

Sylvia Ann Jeffreys Knight, 83, of Brownsville, passed peacefully away with her family by her side on Tuesday, August 1, 2017 at 2:34 pm. Born June 3, 1934 in Fallowfield Twp., she was the daughter of the late Richard and Mary Ona Brown Jeffreys. A resident of Brownsville for the past 5 years, Mrs. Knight was a member of the Methodist Church of California, a graduate from Connellsville High School in 1952 and was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. Sylvia had an interesting work journey. She started as a salesclerk for McCrory`s in Connellsville where she met the love of her life. She later was a salesclerk for Troutman`s and the Health Mart in Connellsville, and ended her journey at Rockville International in Uniontown. After retirement, she and Harold began the second part of their life; a move to Lake Point Village in Lakeland, Florida where they met their two best friends, Mitzi and Leonard. The four of them, through Bright and Shiny Tours, scheduled outings for the residents of Lake Point Village. Together, they explored the Caribbean Islands embarking on 18 different cruises. She and Harold moved back to the area five years ago to be close to their family. She spent her days watching her two grandpups, enjoying her family, talking with her friends at the Center in the Woods, and the Oaks, where she resided until her passing. She will be sadly missed by her family and many friends.
She is survived by her husband Harold Knight to whom she was married 64 years; daughter Dorothy Knight of Brownsville; son & daughter in law Jeffrey & Donna Knight of Etters; grandson Ryan Knight & wife Nicole of Perryopolis and pets Missy and BuckE She is preceded in death by her Brother Norman Jeffreys
Visitation will be held Friday from 2-4 & 6-8 PM at the Parzynski Funeral Home & Cremations, Family Owned and Operated, 191 Liberty St. Perryopolis, PA 724-736-2515. Funeral services will be held Saturday at the Parzynski Funeral Home & Cremations at 11:00 AM with the Sister Bernadette Carlow of Amedisys Hospice officiating.
