Theresa Tokar

Theresa (Burgess) Tokar, 50, of Uniontown, PA passed away Saturday August 2, 2025 at Latrobe Hospital. Although she fought a long, courageous battle with Multiple Sclerosis, she never let it get her down. She was a true warrior who never gave up the fight. She was always in a great mood and could cheer up any room. One of her favorite things to do was to watch the Gameshow network with friends and family. She made many friends along the way. Theresa worked at Centennial Chevrolet in Uniontown.

She grew up in Flatwoods, PA and was the daughter of the late Richard (Dick) Burgess with whom she is now reunited and running through the streets of heaven and Kathy Dailey Burgess who survives and resides in Uniontown. Theresa is also survived by her Fiancé Edwin Whoolery; daughter Kayla Tokar and husband Kyle; three sisters Paula and Shoey Shoemaker, Deanna Leapline and Tom, Marla and Dave Bowers; two brothers Charles and Michelle Burgess, Brad and Jamie Burgess along with many nieces and nephews. Thanks to all who helped her and gave her support over all these years.

Funeral services will be private for the family. Interment will take place in Mt. Macrina Cemetery at a later date. Theresa’s funeral arrangements are entrusted to the Parzynski Funeral Home & Cremations LLC, Family Owned and Operated, 191 Liberty St. Perryopolis, PA 724-736-2515.
