Thomas ‘Boss’ Gantner, 85, of Belle Vernon, Washington Twp., passed away Wednesday, July 15, 2026 at Terrace Health & Rehab. Born December 18, 1940 in Connellsville, PA he was the son of the late Joseph and Catherine Yenchick Gantner. A lifelong resident of Perryopolis and Belle Vernon, Mr. Gantner was a retired truck driver from Rathway Trucking, Perryopolis. He was a member of the Star Junction Fish & Game Club, social member of the VFW Goldstar Post, and Fayette Beagle Club where he would run beagles and won first place among other awards. Thomas enjoyed his horses and bailing hay.

He is survived by his wife Elizabeth Vayda Gantner to whom he was married to for 25 years, two sisters Alvera Zolock, Shirley Gantner, and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his four brothers Edward, Gene, John, Robert Gantner, and three sisters Deloris Tucker Ritenour, Dorothy Brant, and Gloria Pansino.

Visitation will be held Monday from 2-5 PM followed by funeral services at 5 PM in the Parzynski Funeral Home & Cremations LLC, Family Owned and Operated, 191 Liberty St. Perryopolis, PA 724-736-2515. Interment will take place in Mt. Washington Cemetery.
