Wayne James King

Wayne James King, 82, of Vanderbilt, Perry Twp., passed away Friday, December 6, 2024 at his home. Born September 29, 1942 in Pricedale, PA he was the son of the late William and Clara Mae Nichols King. A resident of Vanderbilt for over 50 years, Mr. King was protestant by faith and worked as a security guard. He was a member of the Sons & Daughters of Italy, Perryopolis where he enjoyed playing Euchar. He loved to go to horse and dog races, go to family picnics and play horseshoes with his family, and was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan.

He is survived by his wife Suzan Doss King to whom he was married to for 26 years, his four children: Wayne King Jr., Laura Mae King, Robert (Dena) King, Bret (Jaynee) King; three stepchildren Phillip (Deanna) DeWitt, Jeremiah (Jamie) DeWitt, Rebekah (William) DeWitt; three sisters Betty Cernuska, Mary Ellen Bueler, Dorothy; 20 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his brother William King Jr., two sisters Margaret Askey and Katherine. 

Private services will be held at a later date. Wayne’s funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Parzynski Funeral Home & Cremations LLC, Family Owned and Operated, 191 Liberty St. Perryopolis, PA 724-736-2515.
