Carol Donovan

Carol Lee Donovan, 68, of Arlington, Pittsburgh, passed away Friday, April 29, 2022 at her home.  Born February 5, 1954 in Pittsburgh, PA she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Ruth Wilhelm Donovan.  A resident of Arlington for the past 40 years, Carol was a member of the former St. Henry’s RC Church.

She is survived by her husband Bernard Ackerman to whom she was married 38 years; three children Carrie Koenig & husband Christopher, Corrie Geiger & husband William Figura, Timothy Ackerman; two stepchildren Nikki Ackerman & husband Kevin McFeely, Bernie Ackerman & wife Mary Beth; nine grandchildren Cara, Kayleigh, Claire, Mya, Christopher, Cole, Levi, Luca & Bryson; two great grandchildren Charlie and Jaxon; sister & brother-in-law Susan & Collin Everitt and her pet dog Chloe.  She is preceded in death by her Sister Nancy Donovan.

Visitation will be held Sunday from 2-4 & 6-8 PM at the John J. Gmitter Funeral Home 119 South 15th St. Pittsburgh PA 15203 412-431-0867.  Prayers of Transfer will be held Monday at 11:15 AM in the funeral home followed by funeral mass at 12:00 noon at Blessed Trinity Parish, St. Basil Church with the Rev. Ken Sparks as celebrant.
