D. Kent Miller

D. Kent “Duke” Miller, 82, of North Belle Vernon, passed away Tuesday, December 14, 2021 at UPMC Mercy Hospital, Pittsburgh.  Born May 12, 1939 in N. Charleroi, PA he was the son of the late Thomas Howard and Mae Jeanne Morris Miller.  A lifelong resident of Belle Vernon, Mr. Miller was Methodist by faith.  Duke was retired from Whg-Pgh Steel Allenport Plant, where he was a Head Roller.  He was a member of the Naomi Athletic Club, where he was an honorary member, enjoyed golfing, crossword puzzles, going to casinos, was an avid Steeler fan and most of all enjoyed spending time with his family.

He is survived by son Ken Miller & Connie Strychalski of Belle Vernon, son & daughter in law Jon & Joyce Miller of Rostraver Twp., daughter Kris Schmidt of North Belle Vernon, three grandchildren Kenny Miller II, Nolan Miller, Cameron Miller, four great grandchildren Nolia, Gianna, Kayden and Livi, two sisters in law Jean Spisak and Stella Marie Kroskie.  He is preceded in death by his wife Mary Ann Kroskie Miller, grandchildren Ashley Schmidt and John T. Miller, daughter & son in law Terri & Brian Bartosik, brother Jack Miller and father-in-law & mother-in-law Frank & Stella Kroskie.

Private family visitation and funeral services took place Thursday at the Parzynski Funeral Home & Cremations LLC, Family Owned and Operated, 626 Broad Avenue, Belle Vernon 724-929-6183.  Interment took place in Belle Vernon Cemetery.  The Family suggests memorial contributions be made in memory of Dale Kent Miller to the American Cancer Society.
