David J. Paulina Sr.

David J. Paulina Sr., 77, of Perryopolis, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, May 5, 2023 at Jefferson Hospital, Jefferson Hills.  Born February 5, 1946 in N. Charleroi, PA. He was the son of the late Michael and Mary Kovach Paulina.  A lifelong resident of Perryopolis, Mr. Paulina was a member of The Bible Chapel, Pricedale.  David retired from Whg-Pgh Steel, Allenport, where he worked as a steel worker, worked in the Hot Mill #3, was a machinist at Betham Machine Shop, and Francis Bartley as a furnace worker and truck driver.  He was a master tinkerer and loved working on everything, giving it his special fix, and loved cars, especially his old mustangs.  David was a US Army Veteran of the Vietnam War and had a passion to help fellow Vietnam veterans with his work through the Pointman Ministry.  He also gave the gift of life through tissue donation.

He is survived by his wife Theresa Kruczynski Paulina to whom he would have celebrated 53 years of marriage in August, son and daughter in law David J. Paulina Jr. and Michelle of Canonsburg, daughter and son in law Tiffany and Aaron Laverick of Herminie, two sisters Sonja Philips of Greensboro, NC; Pamela Paulina and significant other Rich Brock of Baden, brother in law David Larcinese of Michigan, seven grandchildren Katelyn, Alex, Jordan, Zachary, Alexa, Kendra, and Ava, one great granddaughter Autumn, two nieces Lisa Curtis, Renee Houpt and nephew Danny Curtis.  David is preceded in death by his sister Annette “Toots" Larcinese and two nephews LJ and Ronnie.

Visitation will be held Tuesday from 2-4 & 6-8 PM at the Parzynski Funeral Home & Cremations LLC, Family Owned and Operated, 626 Broad Avenue, Belle Vernon 724-929-6183.  Funeral services will be held Wednesday at the Parzynski Funeral Home & Cremations LLC at 11:00 AM with the Pastor Alan Booth of The Bible Chapel officiating.  Interment will take place in Cemetery Of The Alleghenies at a later date.
