Judith E. Salesi

Judith Elizabeth Salesi, devoted aunt and beloved sister, passed away on Monday, September 25th in Irwin, PA. She was 86.  Born July 12, 1937 in Connellsville, PA, she was the daughter of the late John and Irene Vargo Salesi.  She spent most of her life in Whitsett, PA, where she worked at the A&P for many years before earning a bachelor’s degree at California University. Upon graduation, she worked as a Nursing Home Administrator, first at Laurel Ridge in Uniontown, PA and then finished her career at Brightwood Center in Follansbee, WV. In her final years, she lived in Irwin, PA, with her family and spent her last days at the Golden Heights Personal Care Home.

Known as “Toot” to friends and family, she is survived by her brother Tony & sister-in-law Kathy Salesi of Irwin, her niece and nephews: Dr. Lauren Salesi,  Andrew Salesi  (Patrick Lewis), Anthony Salesi (Catarina Costa Salesi), Matthew Salesi, and Joseph Salesi as well as her dear cousin, Carol Vargo.

In her later years, Judy converted to Catholicism and became a member of St. John’s the Baptist RC Church in Perryopolis where a memorial mass will be held on Friday, December 22 at 10 AM.
