Martha V. (Tiernan) Fisher

Martha V. Tiernan Fisher, 82, of Layton, passed away Sunday, May 2, 2021.  Born August 30, 1938 in Fayette City, PA she was the daughter of the late Harry F. and Martha V. Steele Tiernan.  A lifelong resident of the Perryopolis area, Mrs. Fisher was a retired cashier from former Hills Dept. Store, Belle Vernon, enjoyed crocheting making afghans and growing plants.  After her retirement from Hills Dept Store, Martha babysat children of the community for many years.

She is survived by her children Daniel Fisher & wife Debbie of Star Junction, Janet Rogers & husband Jim of Youngstown, OH, Richard H. Fisher IV of Perry Twp., Cheryl Halucha of Belle Vernon, Melissa Welling & husband Larry of Austin, TX; two sisters Judith Gabor of Belle Vernon, Audrey Repka of Fayette City; nine grandchildren Stephanie, Joshua, Justin, Johnny, Daniel, Richard, Tonya, Emily, Jessica and 18 great grandchildren.  She is preceded in death by her husband Richard Fisher III (April 23, 2020).
