Melba (Paperi) Mitchell

Melba Paperi Mitchell, 97, of North Belle Vernon, passed away Sunday, June 6, 2021 at Mon Valley Hospital, Monongahela.  Born August 29, 1923 in Belle Vernon, PA she was the daughter of the late Louis and Teresina Giononni Paperi.  A lifelong resident of North Belle Vernon, Mrs. Mitchell was a member of St. Sebastian R.C. Church and a member of the Anita Garibaldi Society of Belle Vernon.

She is survived by son Richard Mitchell of Belle Vernon, daughter & son in law Karen & George Magatz of Monessen, four grandchildren Heather Mitchell, Eric (Maria) Mitchell, Prudence (Will) Pierce, Rick Mitchell, 11 great grandchildren Evan Mitchell, Arria Mitchell, Chloe Mitchell, Zander Mitchell, Austin Pierce, Tanner Pierce, Katelyn Pierce, Dominic Mitchell, Elana Mitchell, Zachary Rinestine, Alexander Rinestine and several great great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband Curtis Mitchell, son Curtis L. Mitchell, brother & sister-in-law Maurice & Jennie Paperi, sister & brother-in-law Olga & Albert Ceccarelli and daughter in law Susan Mitchell.

Visitation will be held Wednesday from 2-4 & 6-8 PM at the Parzynski Funeral Home and Cremations LLC, Family Owned and Operated, 626 Broad Avenue, Belle Vernon 724-929-6183.  Prayers of Transfer will be held Thursday at 9:30 am in the funeral home followed by funeral mass at 10 am at St. Sebastian R.C. Church. Interment will take place in Belle Vernon Cemetery.  In accordance with state mandates masks MUST be worn and social distancing must be maintained.
