Stanley Remiszewski

Stanley Remiszewski, 94, of Belle Vernon, Washington Twp., passed away Thursday, May 20, 2021 at Paramount Senior Living, McMurray.  Born April 1, 1927 in Poland he was the son of the late Alexander and Walentina Darejko Remiszewski.  A resident of Belle Vernon for the past 57 years and was a member of St. Sebastian RC Church, Belle Vernon.

Stanley was a Master Tailor operating his own Tailor shop in Poland.  After coming to America, he continued his tailoring Trade at Wolf’s Department Store in Charleroi and was later employed at Daniels Clothing, Uniontown.  Stanley was also active during WWII Polish Resistance as a young boy later serving in the Polish Army.  Growing up on a farm in Poland, he continued his passion for gardening at home.  He continued his love for his homeland by making many trips back home to Poland. Stanley was an active member of the Charleroi Golden Agers and always enjoyed going on their trips.

He is survived by his wife Diana Sadowska Remiszewski to whom he would have been married 70 years in October; daughter & son in law Hanna & Michael Schlein of Upper St. Clair; sister Irena Zochowska still residing in Poland; two grandchildren Helene Remiszewska and Alexa Schlein.  He is preceded in death by his daughter Grayce Kovacs; infant twins Alicia & Borzena Remiszewski and a brother Rajmund Remiszewski.

Visitation will be held Thursday, June 3, 2021 from 5-7:30 pm at the Parzynski Funeral Home & Cremations LLC, Family Owned and Operated, 626 Broad Avenue, Belle Vernon 724-929-6183 followed by funeral services at 7:30 PM.  Interment will take place in Jefferson Memorial Park on Friday June 4, 2021.
